ECSS Copilot · Open source · Working prototype

Catch requirement problems before your review board does.

ECSS Copilot checks space-project requirements for vague wording, multiple shalls, missing units and open TBDs, drafts a verification matrix, and exports everything to Excel.

Open source · Based in Houston, Texas · For US and international space teams

Example output

    TBD

ECSS Copilot

Less paperwork, more engineering.

Space projects run on requirements. ECSS Copilot takes on the repetitive checking and first drafts, so engineers can spend their time on judgement.

Vague wording

Flags terms like "adequate", "user-friendly", "as appropriate" or "fast" that can't be verified.

Multiple shalls

Spots requirements that bundle several obligations into one statement, so each can be traced and verified on its own.

Missing units

Catches numbers without units or tolerances before they turn into interface or test problems.

TBDs and TBCs

Lists every open TBD/TBC so nothing slips through to a review unresolved.

Requirement quality checks

Run a requirements set through the checks above and get a finding per requirement, with the reason and the offending text.

Draft verification matrix

Generate a first-cut verification matrix (proposed method per requirement: test, analysis, inspection or review of design) for engineers to review.

Export to Excel

Export findings and the draft matrix to an Excel workbook that fits into the way your team already works.

Engineer in the loop

Outputs are drafts for qualified engineers to review. Nothing replaces your sign-off.

Open source

The code is open, so you can inspect how every finding is produced and run it yourself.

Your data stays yours

Built with confidentiality and export-control realities of space programmes in mind.

Coming later

AIT/EGSE test procedures

AIT ProcGen Coming later

Turn requirements and verification matrices into structured draft AIT/EGSE test procedures for engineers to review and approve.

Ops docs & readiness

OpsDoc Coming later

Draft and check operations documentation (procedures, readiness checklists, handover material), with a human always in the loop.
